The students who avail the facility of the V.K. Memorial Library and Reading Room for more than six months and achieve their dreams by passing an examination of the highest level, like UPSC or MPSC or a banking exam, or clearing professional exams like CA or CS or CMA, are felicitated in the first week of January. This special award function has only one purpose: to motivate students who are currently availing themselves of the benefit of the reading room.
On 12th January, 2024, the first academic achievement award function was held on our reading room premises. It was conducted in the evening from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. High tea was arranged for all the invitees. It was a great feeling to reconnect with the students after almost a year, and each one of them exhibited the same love for the place and the benefits they got from this reading room during their preparatory days. The purpose with which the reading room was started in 2007 was being fulfilled, and it was a proud moment for the trustees of the organisation as well.
Taking the opportunity, a few NGOs that are doing great social service in the areas around Kalyan were invited, and their members/organisers were felicitated as well. The consortium of good people is an important asset for society, and its regular meeting is of utmost importance for different reasons and initiatives. An evening that will be cherished by one and all present.
